First of all 'Brothers in the Booth' would like to wish everybody the best for a fresh, new year 2011! May all your personal, business and musical wishes/plans come true and make sure you enjoy every second of the upcoming 364 days! And as we have experienced the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011 in quite a MAD (in the meaning of FANTASTIC!) way, we would like to take you on a trip we made the last 2 days of 'MMX' and the first 7 hours of 'MMXI'! Are you ready?? BAMMMMMMM!!
THURSDAY 30-12-2010: CLOSING UGGS STORE ROTTERDAM
Warm feet are happy feet. This quote is familiar to all the 120.000 visitors that came to the UGGS Store @ Post (Coolsingel Rotterdam) during the last 2 months. 2 months of crazy-ness and in which the collection got totally sold out!
Something that had to be celebrated and as a gift to everybody who had been working together to make this possible, 'Marquant' asked us to perform from 21.30 till 23.30 in order to make everybody happy! Illfort Grantz opened the night while the sexy 'Blitz' girls where performing on stage. And after the explosive performance of Diva's of Dance, it was up to us to bring more than Jenny to the blocks. And we succeeded! Old & young and Children & Parents where dancing their feet of to bangers like 'One', 'Born Again' and My Feelings for You'. And as this was almost 'The final countdown' for this timely store, we ended with Europe's Classic rocker! That worked out in a perfect way! Feet happy, people happy, Brothers happy! :-)
FRIDAY 31-12-2010: NIKKI BEACH @ OCEAN DIVA
SOLD OUT! 'Two words/Seven letters' that tell a lot. The international concept on dutch water touched the feeling of a lot on forehand, so all tickets were gone before the doors opened. The original plan was that we should start our gig around 23.45 and end it 1,5 hour later. But the organisation informed us in the afternoon that DJ Lina-Ann could unfortunately not play due to personal circumstances, our set 'starting point' was replaced to the early hours of the party. So, a 'Brothers in the Booth' year-end that took the visitors by the hand and brought them in the right mood for the final seconds of 2010: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....FIREWORK!!! And with our own compiled edit of firework-sounds, the 'I got a feeling' intro and Katy Perry's 'Firework' we set the perfect vibe for the first 1,5 hours of us playing in the new year! We mixed up 'Live your Life' and 'Pasilda' for the ultimate summerfeeling and ended up with Serious Request #10 winner 'Hello' by Martin Solveig. So, saying 'Hello' while saying 'Goodbye' and handing over the USB-stick to DJ Denniz. We left the crowd happy and are convinced the follow-up DJ's did their job to keep it that way! Thanks Party-people, thanks Luxury Events! Let's rock a lot together in 2011!
FRIDAY 31-12-2010: DIAMONDS & PEARLS @ BUNGALOW8
Hurry! Walking from the Ocean Diva to the PTA parking, racing through the NYE traffic in the city of Amsterdam and ending up @ Bungalow8 in time! Settime 2 till 3. We mentioned it earlier, but we really like the atmosphere in this cosy spot. With the booth surrounded by VIP tables and the dance-floor, you can make everybody part of the party! And as Robert Feelgood and Miss Sugaware are hitting the decks with 'In the Air' as their last one, we directly pick it up with another Ibiza-rocker: 'Believe' by Ministers De-La-Funk in the Antoine Clamaran Remix. We are here!! A crowd that move their bodies to our sound is a satisfying feeling for an artist. And when dropping the DIAMOND 'M.I.T.T.' by Sharam, shivers also take control over our bodies! DAMN!! Taking everybody to a higher level when talking about uplifting tracks! Definitely one of our favorite tracks in our collection at this moment! Ending with the PEARL 'Don't Give it up' we have to give it up, as our last gig of the night is waiting for us in Rotterdam. Thanks Robert Feelgood for making us even feeling better during this NYE! And while Brian Chundro & Santos hit the drums, we leave the bungalow and happily find our car on the sidewalk (footpath) without a Yellow Brick! Also a perfect start of the year in this way! ;-)
FRIDAY 31-12-2010: MASCARADA @ PRINSESTHEATER
Another 'SOLD OUT!' one. We know the audience that's visiting the Prinsestheater during the 'Metz on Sunday' parties. A crowd that loves good music and who let themselves go to the max and last minute. And with filling up the last 1,5 hour of this amazing & a-mask-ing party we were looking very much forward to this one! Marc MacRowland (one of the organisers of Mascarada) was rocking it while we were already getting our hands up just behind his back.
Just put on your mask and let yourself go! It's always a difficult thing to decide when closing a party. Only play 'Rockers & Bangers' or also drop some 'Intense Tunes' with the perfect feeling in it. And as you might understand, we choose for the combination. Giving us the opportunity to present jewels like 'Empty Spaces', 'Get it On' (in the Joey T Vanelli vs. Ramon Tapia / Marien Baker Mashup) and 'Addicted to Love'. And as this is our closer of the night, we hope that everybody will get addicted to 'Brothers in the Booth' in 2011! Thanks Marc MacRowland, thanks Chris Rox for giving us the opportunity to drop our beats during the last edition of Mascarada in 2010 and first edition of 2011 ;-)
LIKE A TRAIN WITH NO DELAY! We don't know what 2011 will bring. We only can promiss that our energy will be presented during every upcoming gig and that our sound will continuously be flirting with the sound you will all be hearing again in Eivissa this summer. Ibiza is in our veins and love for house music is the ship that's transporting it through our bodies! We just ask you to get on board and enjoy it together with us! SEE YOU ALL SOON!!! :-)
